It is difficult to assure wath you ask. Evidently it is not in the list of cpu supported. But this cpu is practically the same as I7-870 that is on the list. Some mobos of lga1156 do not include the xeon in the list of supported although they do support it. I personally could put an X3460 in a mobo that officially did not support the xeon.
